If you lack expertise in an area, find partners with the skills you lack. Make sure everyone on the team is as passionate about the activity as you are and will not quit when you hit a bump. People like to help. Be sure to ask for it from those you trust; they will be supportive and not too critical. Ask as many as possible. You never know who might be able to help.
