Detection ≠ Risk : Business

You can detect something at extremely low levels
and still not know if it matters.

Detection answers: “Is it there?”
It does NOT answer: “Does it matter?”

That requires:

  • context
  • comparison
  • exposure

A number without context feels precise.
Precision is not meaning.

Most people stop at detection.
That’s where reasoning starts to go wrong.

The question isn’t whether something is present.
It’s whether it matters.

Solve the right problem.
